I loved your father
so much. I spent so much time @ your house & he taught me so much about the
value of really knowing God's word. Your mom led me to Christ & your dad
was the 1st one I shared the news with. I am eternally grateful for the
influence your entire family has had on me spiritually. You were my 1st best
friend when we came to Bellingham, Becky gave me piano lessons, Dan gave me
alto sax lessons, and I even got to sit on the church board when we interviewed
Tim for the position of pastor (I would have loved to have him here because I
knew the family would visit.). One of the things that I remember about your dad
& have shared many times is when I said, in a group discussion about some
scriptural matter, "I know it's true because Pastor Baker said it
is.". He straightened me right out on that & told me that, mo matter
what he or anyone else says, I need to believe it only because the scripture
saays so. Since then, my Bible is always open whenever I'm in church or any
type of scriptural study or lecture. And the “ripple effect” still continues. Love
them both so much.

If you remember any quaint sayings my Dad used to say, please send them to me. I would like to make a post of his funny sayings.
