From Gene Baker (brother)

We were playing in a baseball game, while we were in high school at Legrand when Cordell failed to look for the signal from the coach to bunt. He just swung the bat and hit a home run. He got bawled out, but not for the home run, but for not heeding the signal for the bunt.
